Why Seat 10L Is My Go-To in Air France Business A350-900

Rows 1 and 10 on the Air France A350-900 are currently for me the BEST option to fly from Europe to Miami in business. I flew from Paris to Miami on the Air France A350-900 and picked seat 10L. Honestly, rows 1 and 10 (bulkhead) are the sweet spot in business. Incredible amounts of space for your feet, compared to the more cramped cubbies on other rows. Even though the toilet is close, it really didn't disturb me at all. Easily the best way to get between Miami and Paris.

The trip started in Amsterdam, the Paris transfer was smooth as always. With a European passport you can go through the Sky Priority lane or just hit the self-scan—usually the latter is quicker.
At CDG, the lounge situation around gates K is pretty decent. Upstairs is the newer one, downstairs is older but much quieter. Food is the same in both. I even managed to squeeze in a Clarins appointment before boarding. Pro tip: the spa area is on -1, it opens at 07.40am, if you're able to get there early, you might be able to get a spot. Experience was short, but nice.

Row 11, decent seat, but less space compared to rows 1 and 10.

Boarding was by bus, which isn’t ideal, but once on board 10L really delivered. The bulkhead seats give you this huge space for your feet, although storage is pretty limited — just a little cabinet that’s already packed with the noise-cancelling headphones and a bottle of Evian. I brought my own little sleep kit anyway: custom Pluggerz earplugs and a Tumi sleep mask.
Cabin and seat aside, the toilet nearby isn’t anything luxurious but it never caused any disturbance. Crew were friendly, though they stuck to French most of the time. Food was solid — you can pre-order your main which helps cut food waste. Salted butter would’ve been a nice addition, but the snack of cheese and beetroot framboise with cheese was a win.
All in all: Air France business on the A350 is a very comfortable way to cross the Atlantic, and if you can snag row 1 or 10, do it.
